Main purpose of the job

Responsible for supporting the Plant Financial Manager in controlling plant costs and internal controls, ensuring that all plant statutory reporting requirements are met.




Main missions and results

Support the finance team to ensure the close is performed within the corporate deadlines with quality analysis to support and explain deviations from budget and forecast. Key responsibilities include; prepare journals for overhead accruals and prepayments, process intercompany journals, analyse fixed assets and prepare depreciation journal, analyse and review overheads. Ensure balance sheet integrity producing best in class balance sheet reconciliations in line with corporate deadlines. Maintain the Fixed Asset Register ensuring additions and disposal are processed appropriately. Support weekly cashflow reporting; actualisation of latest week and future forecast. Support Operations / HR reconciliation of site overtime. Support preparation of forecast data. Liaise with AP and AR teams assisting with any queries to maintain clean ledgers. Monitor overdues and GRNI balances. Regularly review open PO's with departmental managers. Work closely with the Quality department analysing and tracking warranty and quality debit notes and containment costs when applicable. Work closely with the Supply Chain department to analyse freight costs and accruals. Support ad hoc analysis and project activity. Ensure that all health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
Preferred skills and experience

Automotive experience. Part qualified accountant CIMA/ACCA. Demonstrable accounting experience preferably within a manufacturing environment. Experience of liaising with external auditors. Confident with strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills. Hands-on approach. Highly flexible and adaptable with the ability to work as an individual or as part of a team and to work on their own initiative when required. System21 ERP experience High standard of Excel skills

Working hours are 37.5 per week on days, with an early finish on Fridays. Training will be given to the right candidate with the opportunity to join an expanding site within our organisation. Please note that this position would require the successful candidate to be 5 on site in the office days a week.
