Here at the Maples, we have an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join us in our head office based in Fishponds, Bristol. You will be offering support to the Head of Finance and your team members for all finance related matters. The role requires the individual to lead the production of monthly management accounts, maintain accurate payroll records and continually improve financial awareness through budgeting, forecasting and analysis.

The Maples Community is a group of organisations working together to provide specialist rehabilitation, recovery and accommodation services in the southwest. We specialise in providing community based solutions to people with complex unmet needs that are transitioning out of psychiatric hospital, or are at risk of readmission.

The key responsibilities for the role will be:

Assisting with the preparation of the monthly management accounts, variance analysis and control accounts. Maintaining the cash flow forecast by ensuring movements are recorded, summary information and analysis are produced. Be responsible for the preparation of the monthly payroll including monthly payment submissions to HMRC Production and submission of annual payroll returns (P11D's, P60's, PSA review). Administration of the UK pension scheme (including regulatory reviews). Balance sheet reconciliations. Supporting the Finance Director with implementation of new finance infrastructure and key projects within the business. Fulfilling Local Council requirements to ensure timely and accurate funding. Preparation of annual external audit requirements. Collation of corporation tax information. Oversee the completion of day-to-day finance duties including bank reconciliations, supplier invoice processing, and client invoicing.

Skills and experience required:

Qualified (ACCA/CIMA) Payroll experience Eligibility to work in the UK Ability to deliver tasks on time and with a high degree of autonomy and accuracy, whilst maintaining momentum under pressure Experience using Sage accounting software would be advantageous

Salary: 35,000 per annum.
