Are you a skilled Management Accountant with a passion for finance and a proactive, inquisitive approach to problem-solving?
Join our Finance team, where you'll play a pivotal role in covering all aspects of the accounts function with the main emphasis on assisting the Head of Finance with the preparation of the monthly management accounts, then leading on to Finance Business Partnering with the relevant heads and leaders across the business regarding their results.
What you'll do

The role will include varying Management Accounting and Finance tasks and responsibilities, including but not limited to:
To help achieve the business objectives set for the Finance function
Carrying out financial cost accounting tasks within the department
Analysing variances and looking into any discrepancies - inquisitive approach to ensure to get to the bottom of any issues
To ensure the integrity of the various Finance systems are maintained and develop and improve systems and processes where possible
Assist the Head of Finance in the month end process and the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts
Analysis of overheads comparing actual expenditure to budget/forecast and previous year, and liaising with the relevant managers/directors to discuss spend, results and future outlook
Finance Business Partnering with the relevant leaders across the business
Involvement with stock control, stock counts, reviews and analysing variances
Involvement with costing new products and keeping pricing up-to-date for existing ones
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts with the Head of Finance & Finance Director
Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts at year end
Preparing accurate and timely information for audit and tax compliance
Involvement with HMRC and other Stakeholders regarding VAT and Imports & Exports
Providing support and cover to members of the finance team and wider VEKA team
To maintain a flexible and enthusiastic approach to Company matters, upholding and promoting the VEKA Values at all times, both internally and externally.
To liaise with colleagues and all levels of employees on day to day duties and issues.
To maintain all Health, Safety and environmental standards within the workplace and adhere to all Company working practices.
Ad-hoc duties and responsibilities as required by the Head of Finance.
What you'll need
--------------------
CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
Experience in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
Strong business acumen with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for Finance Business Partnering.
Competent IT skills, especially in Excel, and SAP experience (desired)
