in Cardiff Bay. As the group continues to grow, we're looking for a hands-on
Management Accountant
to strengthen our finance function and support informed business decision-making across multiple entities.
Role Overview
The Management Accountant will play a key role in delivering timely and accurate financial information, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and ensuring the financial health of the group. This is a varied and dynamic role that offers exposure to a range of business activities in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly management accounts for multiple companies within the group
Produce insightful financial reports, including variance analysis and performance summaries by operating unit.
Develop a short-term cash flow forecast and liaise with Senior Management to manage cashflow.
Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and assist with accruals and prepayments
Work closely with operational teams to track key metrics and support decision-making, particularly around working capital management.
Assist in preparing for year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants/auditors
Support development and improvement of financial systems and processes
Support CFO with establishing a Group wide budget and forecasting cycle.
Assist with ad hoc financial projects and strategic analysis as required
Key Skills & Experience
Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
Proven experience in a management accounting role, ideally within a fast paced SME, multi-entity or hospitality / catering setting
Strong Excel skills
Good understanding of UK accounting principles, VAT, and compliance requirements
Commercial awareness and the ability to communicate financial insights to non-financial stakeholders
Proactive, organised, and able to meet tight deadlines across competing priorities
Desirable
Experience in hospitality, property, or events industries
Familiarity with Xero accounting system would be a plus
Familiarity with group structures and intercompany accounting
Previous experience supporting business growth
