Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join a well-established organisation within the construction sector. Based in Cardiff, this role focuses on delivering accurate financial information and supporting key business decisions.

  • Prepare and analyse management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process to support business planning.
  • Provide financial insights to senior management to aid decision-making.
  • Monitor financial performance against key metrics and identify variances.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes.
  • Support year-end audit processes with relevant documentation and analysis.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in financial reporting systems.

A successful Management Accountant should have:
  • A professional qualification or part-qualification in accounting (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
  • Experience in preparing management accounts and financial analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • An analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to work effectively within a team and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working with COINS
