JOB PURPOSE
The overall duties of this post are to aid the Finance Manager in the provision of accounts and other financial and management information.
SPECIFIC DUTIES OF THE POST
1. To assist in the preparation of the Association's internal budgets, monthly management accounts and published annual statutory accounts as required by the Finance Manager.
2. To analyse expenditure (capital and revenue), working with other teams in the business and produce forecasts or reconciliations as required by the Finance Manager.
3. To oversee the maintenance of the Association's fixed asset and component accounting registers.
4. Involvement in management of the Association's insurance arrangements and claims procedures, including liaison with external bodies and other internal departments as required.
5. Management of the Associations relationship with other smaller managed Almshouse charities, to include preparation of annual budgets, quarterly management accounts information and other ad hoc analysis as required. Ability to deputise at smaller Almshouse board meetings for either the finance manager or finance director
6. Responsible for financial projects within the department to ensure smooth operational implementation, in areas such as systems, software and/or reporting of new information requirements, as required by other departments or new legislation.
7. The provision of internal and external financial management information and reports, including Performance Indicators, as required.
8. Deputise for the Finance Manager in overseeing the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions of the finance department, as required.
9. Any other duties as may be required from time to time.

Knowledge/Qualifications:
5 GCSEs or equivalent
AAT qualified (or equivalent)
Knowledge of financial regulations, GDPR, statutory accounts, and audits
Experience:
Finance environment experience
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office
Management accounts preparation and audit delivery
Staff supervision and influencing skills
Awareness of equality and diversity

Skills & Knowledge:
