Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive
Group Management Accountant
to join our finance team. This pivotal role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, analysis, and insights across the Group. You will work closely with the Group Financial Controller and operational teams to support business performance, budgeting, and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare consolidated monthly management accounts and financial reports for the Group
Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
Support the budgeting and forecasting processes across the Group companies
Provide financial analysis and commentary to aid business decision-making
Maintain intercompany accounts and ensure reconciliation across all entities
Assist with year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors
Assist with the production of financial statutory accounts.
Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and policies
Collaborate with finance and non-finance colleagues across the Group to ensure accurate financial data and operational understanding
Continuously seek improvements in processes, systems, and reporting
Support ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives as required by senior management
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
Minimum AAT Level 4 (or CIMA, ACCA, ACA equivalent)
Proven experience in a similar management accounting or finance role
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Sage or similar)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workload in a dynamic environment
Desirable:
Experience in a multi-entity or Group environment
Knowledge of manufacturing, engineering, or related sectors
Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
