Role Overview
The Management Accountant will be responsible for producing accurate and timely financial information, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and contributing to the continuous improvement of financial systems and controls. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively across departments.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly management accounts including profit & loss, balance sheet, and supporting exception reporting
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations with detailed commentary.
Prepare financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets in collaboration with stakeholders.
Support the Finance Director with year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
Support the ongoing enhancement of financial processes and internal controls to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Play a key role in planning and implementing of a new accounting system.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support strategic initiatives.
Assist with inter-group transactions and reporting.
Provide ad hoc financial reports and analysis
Ideally you will have
Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or qualified by experience
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
Familiarity with Sage 50 and Sage Intacct (advantageous)
Experience in a hands-on, medium-sized business environment preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all business areas
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
Excellent analytical and reporting skills; advanced Excel proficiency
Organised with strong time management and ability to prioritise
Enthusiastic and driven to make a positive impact
