Management Accountant
Job Description
KCR Solutions are delighted to be working with this growing organisation based in Gateshead. They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join a small, dynamic finance team. This is a hands-on role reporting directly to the Finance Director, offering exposure across two diverse and fast-growing businesses.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to have real impact within a small business environment, with direct access to decision-makers and the ability to shape financial processes as the business grows.
You will be part of a compact finance function that includes a Finance Assistant and the Finance Director, supporting a family office with two key interests.
Skills
A recognised accounting qualification (CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) Strong Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, linking cells, visual reporting) A passion for high standards and accuracy in financial reporting
Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly consolidated management accounts in line with accounting standards and group policies Present accurate monthly accounts and financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flows) Weekly cash flow forecasting, and review of debtor/sales ledgers and balance sheet reconciliations Submit VAT and CIS returns Support year-end accounts preparation and external audit process Support year-end corporation tax return submittal process Work closely with senior management to resolve financial queries Identify and implement process improvements Provide ad hoc financial support as directed by the Finance Director
Working Hours & Location
Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm Full-time, office-based Free on-site parking * 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
