KCR Solutions are delighted to be working with this growing organisation based in Gateshead. They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join a small, dynamic finance team. This is a hands-on role reporting directly to the Finance Director, offering exposure across two diverse and fast-growing businesses.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to have real impact within a small business environment, with direct access to decision-makers and the ability to shape financial processes as the business grows.
You will be part of a compact finance function that includes a Finance Assistant and the Finance Director, supporting a family office with two key interests.
Skills

• A recognised accounting qualification (CIMA, ACA, or equivalent)
• Strong Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, linking cells, visual reporting)
• A passion for high standards and accuracy in financial reporting

• Prepare monthly consolidated management accounts in line with accounting standards and group policies
• Present accurate monthly accounts and financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flows)
• Weekly cash flow forecasting, and review of debtor/sales ledgers and balance sheet reconciliations
• Submit VAT and CIS returns
• Support year-end accounts preparation and external audit process
• Support year-end corporation tax return submittal process
• Work closely with senior management to resolve financial queries
• Identify and implement process improvements
• Provide ad hoc financial support as directed by the Finance Director

• Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
• Full-time, office-based
• Free on-site parking
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
