As a
Management Accountant,
you will play a key role in providing financial insight, reporting, and strategic support to the organisation. You will contribute to the production of monthly management accounts, lead on budget setting and performance analysis, and ensure robust financial controls and compliance are in place.
This role is based in Liverpool, with occasional travel to our Stonebridge, St Helens, and Warrington offices.
What You'll Be Doing:
Producing and analysing monthly management accounts for the group and subsidiaries.
Partnering with operational teams to provide financial support and insights, including leading monthly budget review meetings.
Supporting annual budget setting and in-year budget management.
Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and audits.
Ensuring compliance with financial policies, regulations, and risk management frameworks.
Driving value-for-money initiatives, identifying efficiencies and improvements.
Contributing to long-term financial planning and supporting VAT/corporation tax planning.
Wha
t We're Looking For:
Part-qualified or fully qualified in a recognised accountancy qualification (CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent experience).
Strong knowledge of accountancy practices, financial reporting, and business planning.
Proven experience in financial management within a large or complex organisation.
Excellent IT literacy, including advanced Excel skills and financial systems knowledge.
Ability to build strong relationships, influence stakeholders, and communicate financial insights effectively.
A proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with a keen eye for continuous improvement.
Experience in managing change, risk management, and financial compliance is desirable.
Interview Process:
Interviews will be held on Monday 17th November, and Tuesday 18th November, at our Liverpool office. The interview will include a five-minute presentation (details will be provided upon invitation) and a series of competency-based questions.
