Role Overview:





The Finance Team is the backbone of STUDIOCANAL, ensuring that the wonderful things we do are translated to accurate financials and are guided by insightful commercial analysis and challenge. The role covers the distribution part of the business through a film's lifecycle, with the company releasing 7-10 new films per year.


Key Responsibilities:




Calculate, prepare and post month end adjustments and provide P&L, cash flow, and KPI variance analysis and commentaries. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations. Maintain asset registers and post monthly interest and depreciation. Liaise with group companies to prepare and post intercompany recharges. Support UK film productions, including the setup of SPVs and liaison with production accountants. Assisting AR to ensure invoicing and cash collection are up to date. Perform VAT checks and preparation of quarterly VAT returns. Assist with the statutory and grant audit process. Maintenance of group reporting tools and active support of system developments and implementations. Ad-hoc projects/reporting.



Skills and Qualifications:




More than 50% through a professional accounting qualification 2+ years' experience in a finance role Excellent Excel skills including nested formulas, vlookups, pivot tables & sumifs Proactive and organized with a strong ability to meet deadlines Positive attitude with a keen attention to detail Experience using SAP ERP or similar accounting software * Passion for the film industry and regular interaction with content
