JOB PURPOSE:



Responsible for managing financial operations across rugby divisions in the UK and Ireland; reporting into Rugby Finance Director and assist with co-ordinating reporting across Rugby divisions globally.


Ensuring all financial and management accounting across the companies is accurately and efficiently managed in a timely manner.


KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



Overview



Manage the reporting process, including the month and year end management and statutory reporting across the rugby divisions in the UK and Ireland Manage daily processing of Customer and Supplier invoices, raising purchase orders, reviewing business expense reports, updating fee trackers Work with colleagues across all Rugby divisions globally to co-ordinate reporting Manage the monthly forecast and annual budget for the UK and Ireland Rugby divisions Ensure all control, tax and compliance is prepared and filed appropriately across jurisdictions on time Assist with the short and long term cashflow inputs

Financial Reporting and Month End Close



Completion of month end close and reconciliation process (P&L and balance sheet) as well as review of specific financial balances within the consolidated accounts Support the Finance Director and wider Talent team to deliver month-end reporting on a timely and accurate basis via the preparation of revenue and billing schedules, departmental P&Ls, cost summaries and other key reporting schedules Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and the posting of payroll, accrual and re-class journals Preparation and input on monthly management packs, providing clear financial insights to stakeholders including variance analysis and actionable commentary to support the business. Completion of monthly reforecast cycles by providing financial information which is complete, accurate and up-to-date Prepare, review and maintain accurately reconciled revenue schedules Liaise with key stakeholders and deliver key business and management information on a timely basis Assist and support on the year-end financial and other audits, preparing, maintaining and explaining supporting schedules and processes Manage relationships with local accountants and financial advisors

Budget & Analysis



Manage the annual budget process Liaise with key budget holders and other stakeholders Provide ad hoc analysis and schedules to support budget assumptions and inputs Model and run ad hoc analysis to support commercial decisions Bonus calculation/tracking

Control & Compliance



Review contract and future billings schedules for completeness and accuracy Review and approve Customer and Supplier invoices processed through the accounting system Raise Purchase Orders Support on the collections process Preparation, review and submission of VAT returns Assist with annual Corporate Tax returns Maintain strong financial controls and escalate issues appropriately and in a timely manner.

Continuous process improvement, ensuring the system is fully optimised to make processes as efficient as possible Team/project support for business initiatives Ad hoc tasks and projects as required
