Joining our diversely skilled and experienced finance team, you will be responsible for providing a professional, accurate and timely management accounting service, playing a central role in preparing monthly information to aid business decisions, as well as supporting budget and forecast process


No two days will be the same and the deadline we work to will stretch you. Yet in all that you do, you'll rise to the challenge and deliver faultless accuracy and a first-class service to this unique organisation.

Key Responsibilities



Prepare the Monthly Performance Pack, working with Senior Management Accountants to ensure commentary is meaningful and variances are clearly understood. Deliver centralised month-end with clear and actionable analysis. Support the budgeting and reforecasting process for the Sovereign Grant, producing consolidated schedules for review and approval. Partner with budget holders to identify key financial drivers and ensure they have the information needed to manage departmental spend. Provide detailed analysis of historic and forecasted spending trends to support strategic decisions. Contribute to continuous improvement projects, including the implementation of a new finance system and the transition to a Finance Business Partnering model.

About you

Essential Criteria



You'll have an CCAB qualification (or equivalent) and previous experience in preparing month end reports and budgets in a complex organisation; A good communicator with a collaborative approach, you'll be able to convey complex information and advise at all levels, building strong working relationships within your team and around the organisation. You have an analytical mindset, with the ability to think logically and objectively to make good judgement and decisions. With strong IT skills, you'll be confident in excel, word and PowerPoint, understanding the different ways to present financial and non-financial information Self motivated and well organised, you're able to prioritise multiple work threads to deadlines effectively. Proactive, with a strong sense of teamwork, you'll enjoy working with other experts and support the wider Management Accounts team.
