We are seeking a skilled

Management Accountant

to support the College's financial management, reporting, and planning. The candidate will play a key role in delivering accurate accounts, insightful analysis, and effective oversight of budgets, investments, and insurance.


The position is set to commence ASAP and will be full-time for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of 18.43 per hour + holiday pay


Key responsibilities include:



Oversee monthly management accounts, including reports from Sage Intacct, balance sheet review, and variance analysis for committees and senior stakeholders. Support budget production, long-term projections, cashflows, benchmarking, and project appraisals to ensure value for money. Lead on financial analysis of commercial streams and restricted funds, producing KPIs and supporting decision-making. Assist with statutory accounts, year-end reconciliations, investment valuations, and audit preparation. Act as the main contact for insurance administration, liaising with brokers, managing claims, and preparing renewal documentation.

Selection Criteria:



Qualified or near-qualified accountant with strong management reporting and financial analysis experience. Proficiency with financial systems (preferably Sage Intacct) and advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, macros). Strong attention to detail with the ability to reconcile complex accounts and work accurately under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to support stakeholders with varying financial expertise. Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
