, you'll be at the financial heart of our shipping operations, helping us navigate the numbers behind one of the most complex and critical areas of our business.
You'll be the go-to expert for monthly management accounts, providing sharp insights and clear commentary that help shape decisions across the Shipping directorate. From supporting strategic planning to enabling operational efficiency, your work will directly influence how we deliver safe, secure, and sustainable transport solutions.
What You'll Be Doing
Own the Numbers:
Lead the production of monthly financials for the Shipping business, including PNTL, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and timeliness.
Drive Insight:
Provide meaningful analysis and commentary on financial performance, helping leaders understand the story behind the figures.
Plan for the Future:
Support quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and 5-year strategic plans, contributing to long-term financial sustainability.
Collaborate Across Teams:
Work closely with colleagues in Finance and across NTS to streamline reporting and embed best practices.
Support Statutory Reporting:
Provide data and insight to support the production of statutory accounts for INSL and PNTL.

External auditors and third-party ship management suppliers

What You'll Bring
Qualifications:
Part-qualified and actively studying towards AAT, ACA, CIMA, or ACCA (Essential)
Experience:
Proven experience in management accounting and financial analysis (Essential)
Background in complex financial environments, ideally in construction, engineering, or nuclear (Desirable)
Comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels (Essential)
Skills:
Strong Excel and data management skills (Essential)
Experience with Sage X3 (Desirable)
Organised, deadline-driven, and discreet
Customer-focused with great interpersonal skills
Knowledge:
Understanding of internal controls and accounting standards (Desirable)
