Management Accountant position based at our Skelmersdale location.

The role will be site based with an element of flexibility.

Your challenge for the Management Accountant:-



Manage month-end and year-end financial processes to ensure accuracy and compliance, inclusive of monthly P&L's and Balance Sheet. Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with group timetables, investigating and resolving discrepancies. Assist in preparing annual budgets and reforecasts, providing insightful variance analysis. Maintenance of the Fixed asset register as well as the associated controls. Completion of accurate bank recs. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial targets are met. Ensuring accounting policies and procedures align with group standards. Provide financial advice and insights to senior management. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements

Key skills & experience for the Management Accountant:-



Proven experience as a Management Accountant is essential, ideally within an FMCG environment. Qualified/Part Qualified (Final Stages) CIMA/ACCA Strong understanding of management accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting is essential. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills is essential. Previous experience using Sage 200 would be advantageous. The ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively is critical. A proactive and adaptable approach, with a desire to contribute to continuous improvement.
