The Management Accountant will be responsible for end-to-end financial management and reporting for a key business unit. Working closely with the Financial Controller, you'll provide accurate accounts, insight-driven analysis, and operational support, while also overseeing a small finance support team.
Key responsibilities include:

• Producing monthly management accounts, including full P&L and balance sheet ownership
• Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and resolving variances
• Delivering meaningful variance analysis and commentary
• Leading monthly financial reviews with operational managers
• Supporting and overseeing a Finance Administrator and Credit Controller
• Preparing VAT returns and maintaining the Fixed Asset Register
• Managing specific payment and reporting processes in line with internal controls
• Assisting with budgets, year-end reporting, and audit prep
• Supporting system use and acting as a key finance contact for operational teams
• Deputising for the Financial Controller where required

As the successful Management Accountant, you will be a qualified finance professional with strong experience in a hands-on management accounting role. You'll be commercially aware, confident presenting financial insight, and able to build strong relationships across the business.
Key skills and experience include:

• Strong technical knowledge and experience producing full monthly accounts
• Excellent Excel skills and high attention to detail
• A proactive and analytic mindset with the ability to work independently
• Comfortable managing deadlines and juggling competing priorities
• Previous experience supporting or leading junior finance staff
• Confident communication style and ability to work closely with non-finance teams
• Systems-savvy with the ability to adapt to new platforms quickly

The following benefits package is available to the successful Management Accountant:

• 50,000 - 55,000 basic salary
