Job Summary The Management Accountant is responsible for supporting the Senior Management Accountant and BDU finance manager in delivering high quality and timely financial management services to all budget holders within a Business Delivery Unit (BDU)/ Corporate Services. Providing support to the Senior/Finance Manager and budget managers in the development and delivery of the BDU/ Directorate Annual Plan. Production of the monthly BDU/Directorate management reports including financial forecasts.
Intelligence gathering and investigation of service issues to advise on financial risk and options for decision making with direction from senior finance staff. Provide costing and financial analysis for service development and business cases with direction from senior finance staff. Supervision of junior BDU/ support services management accounts staff. Leadership role within the finance team; able to contribute to a multi-disciplinary team using matrix working to deliver the BDU/ directorate objectives.

Internal and external relationships with key stakeholders and partners in order to represent the BDU or finance department in meetings or project work.
