Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Management Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of financial management principles. This role is essential in providing accurate financial reporting, managing accounts payable, and supporting strategic decision-making within the organisation. Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment approvals. Conduct financial forecasting and budgeting to support organisational goals. Collaborate with various departments to provide financial insights and guidance on operational performance. Mentor junior finance staff, fostering their professional development and enhancing team capabilities. Utilise accounting software to streamline financial processes and improve reporting efficiency. Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures while identifying areas for improvement. Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors as required.

Qualifications

A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is essential. Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is preferred but not mandatory. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft is advantageous. Strong understanding of financial services and financial management principles. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Previous experience in financial accounting or similar roles will be beneficial.
