Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Management Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial management skills and experience with various accounting software packages. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making within the organisation.

Duties

Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with regulatory requirements. Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft to manage financial data effectively. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement in financial performance. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights based on historical data and market trends. Mentor junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development and enhancing team capabilities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives through sound financial management practices. Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with company policies.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role. Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft is highly desirable. Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Demonstrated experience in mentoring or training junior staff members. Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
