The role will be responsible for internal and external MI data and stakeholder reporting, working closely with the Finance Team & regional business teams. This role will involve gathering, validating & submitting MI data from various sources using a range of tools and presenting the outputs in clear and meaningful fund performance reports to strict deadlines.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Reporting Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analysing data and generating insightful reports that support decision-making processes within the organisation. This role requires a combination of strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and the ability to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
Duties
As part of the Finance Team your role will be broad and duties will include:
Deliver all MI data and financial stakeholder reporting & submissions in accordance with published timetables.
Liaise with internal teams to ensure deadlines & requirements are understood, planned for & met.
Lead extraction, validation & cleansing of MI data from CRM, Finance systems & Excel files, ensuring data is accurate, complete & to deadlines.
Submit monthly, quarterly and year end MI data files to stakeholders ensuring submissions are accurate, complete and on time and agree to Word reports with full validation checks.
Produce performance reports (P&L, BS, Fund etc) and presentations for regional Fund Heads, interpret performance & produce financial commentaries.
Work with Head of FP&A to embed Power BI throughout the organisation.
Work with Head of FP&A to publish data & reports in Power BI to meet both stakeholder & Regional Heads' requirements.
Deputise for Head of FP&A from time to time.
Develop MI reports to meet evolving needs of the business, automating where possible and driving all data into a system.
Create equity revaluation and debt provision journals & pass to with Accounting Team to post in the accounting system.
Submit fund drawdown & distribution forecasts.
Embed strong internal controls over data collection to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
Drive process & systems improvements and automation in MI data production & reporting.
Perform SQL data mining and data manipulation.
Act as point of contact for all reporting requirements.
Submit information for all audits including the annual audits.
Ad hoc projects.
Qualifications
Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA)
At least 5 years' experience in data-focussed role producing MI, reporting packs & dashboards including robust controls and validation checks
Advanced Power Pivot / Power BI skills & Excel with excellent presentation skills
Excellent organisational & communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to both technical and non technical audiences.
High attention to detail and accuracy
Knowledge of funds management, AI & SQL an advantage
