As general manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the shop. This role requires a passion for coffee and customer service, as well as strong leadership skills to guide your team in providing an exceptional experience for customers. You will oversee daily operations, ensure food safety compliance, manage inventory, and create a welcoming environment that encourages repeat business.
Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of the coffee shop, including staff supervision, customer service, and financial management.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and serving areas.
Lead and motivate a team of baristas and kitchen staff to deliver excellent service and quality products.
Develop and implement menus that reflect current trends while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels to minimise waste.
Foster a positive work environment through effective team management and conflict resolution.
Engage with customers to build relationships and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase profitability.
Skills
Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management within a hospitality or restaurant setting.
Knowledge of culinary practices and food safety standards to ensure compliance in all operations.
Excellent supervisory skills to effectively manage staff performance and training.

A background in hotel or restaurant management is advantageous but not essential.
