We work closely with other tax teams, as well as colleagues across the business, to deliver a broad range of services to a mix of clients. A successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including:

M&A transactions Cross-border reorganisations and other restructuring work Tax disputes and controversy Tax advisory Compliance and reporting Tax Audit support

Our Managers take the lead on delivering key parts of our client services. As a Manager you will use your commercial awareness and professional expertise, along with leveraging the skills and expertise of others, to deliver the best possible experience and outcomes for our clients.

We will support you in being a confident team member with responsibilities which will include:


Working with existing UK and international client relationships and support in building new relationships.


Supporting senior team members and subject matter specialists in communication, marketing and delivery of a range of advisory services to clients.


Development of the technical and operational skill set of junior team members.


Managing and overseeing compliance and advisory projects, with regards to managing client and statutory deadlines, billing requirements and delegating effectively to your team.


Working effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.


Successful candidates will have:


Essential:

UK corporate tax experience gained from an in-house role within a financial institution, from an accountancy/legal/advisory firm, or HMRC, or equivalent. Experience delivering a range of tax advisory and compliance services to clients, in addition to developing junior team members. Work could include: + Tax advisory assignments;
+ M&A transaction support;
+ Tax structuring;
+ Tax compliance; and
+ Tax audit support and tax accounting advisory.
Experience managing relevant risk procedures, in addition to taking financial responsibility for engagements. An ACA or CTA qualification or equivalent. The desire and motivation to advance your career in taxation. The ability to manage a portfolio of clients and projects as well as managing junior staff. The ability to work closely with clients, applying practical and commercial concepts to technical work. The ability to work in a team. The ability to support the team in building new client relationships. Strong communication and written skills. The desire to be challenged and stretched.

Tax



Our comprehensive range of services encompasses everything from the completion of tax returns (corporation tax self-assessment) to complex consultancy assignments and strategic tax planning. We advise on corporate and general tax, international M&A, stamp tax, cross-border transfer pricing, reorganisations and reconstructions, and competent authority negotiations.

Personal independence



Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
