Home Solutions Service Manager - Age Connects NE Wales (ACNEW)

: To oversee the effective and efficient delivery and development of the Home Solutions Service

Lewis House, Flint covering Flintshire and Wrexham
Hours:
Full time 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday
Salary:
24,920 - 26,300 (Depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1. Undertake the management and the effective and efficient delivery and development of Home Solutions.
2. Manage and delegate tasks to the administrative team on a daily basis and ensure the team is fully occupied.
3. Ensure all functions related to management of the Home Solutions staff are fulfilled, including annual appraisals, staff supervision, training analysis, absence reporting and management of all other associated personnel functions.
4. Oversee the health and safety of staff, including the completion of risk assessment documentation and ensuring the premises from which the services operate comply with the relevant Health and Safety legislation.
5. Recruit all new Home Helpers for Home Solutions in line with ACNEW's recruitment policy and undertake the necessary HR functions associated with it, DBS checks, references, induction training etc.
6. Respond to new Home Solutions Service referrals - arrange a home assessment, discuss client's needs, complete paperwork, decide on payment method, input details on to Care Planner, Charity Log and Home Solutions client spreadsheet
7. Coordinate and authorise the hours/payments/expenses of the Home Solutions and Toenail Cutting Service staff.
8. Calculate annual leave entitlement for Home Solutions staff and authorise the admin staff annual leave jointly with the Chief Officer.
9. Ensure appropriate cash handling policies are adhered to by all Home Solutions staff.
10. Take card payments over the phone and provide finance with required paperwork.
11. Prepare spreadsheet and invoices monthly for Home Solutions clients where appropriate.
12. Review the Debtor Summary report monthly and take follow up action in conjunction with the Finance Manager.
13. Ensure that all monitoring and reporting deadlines are adhered to.
14. Forge partnerships with other organisations and promote Home Solutions and other ACNEW services.
15. Actively promote the organisation at meetings and events, through social media, via the website and producing appropriate marketing materials.
16. Review client satisfaction questionnaires, investigate client complaints and take appropriate action.
17. Liaise with external stakeholders as agreed with the Chief Executive Officer and represent Age Connects NE Wales when appropriate at external meetings/events etc.
Person Specification:
Minimum 5 GCSEs or equivalent including English and Maths
Full driving licence and use of your own vehicle
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
An enthusiastic and motivated individual
Excellent time management and oragnisational skills
Ability to prioritise workload and work well under pressure
Managerial experience including management and recruitment of staff
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and online databases
The ability to collate and understand management information in relation to the service.
