Reporting to our Head of Internal Communications for UK & Enabling Functions, as part of the firm's central Internal Communications & Engagement team, you'll work closely with senior stakeholders in CBS to plan, develop and deliver engaging communications for the CBS audience - as well as working on key CBS messaging out to the wider Deloitte audience. The Chief of Staff for CBS will be a key stakeholder, who will rely on you for advice as well as delivery.


You'll also work as one team with Internal Communications professionals for our other Enabling Functions - which sit alongside CBS - and with Heads of Internal Communications in Deloitte's four businesses such as Technology & Transformation, Strategy, Risk & Transactions Advisory, Tax & Legal and Audit & Assurance, providing compelling content and creative assets about CBS services and developments for cascade through their local business channels.


The role is responsible for leading on communications initiatives supporting the firm's internal priorities and for ensuring our communications channels and messages are joined up, consistent, support our regulatory responsibilities and contribute to a positive employee experience.


Specific responsibilities include:

Advise leadership: advise and support CBS leaders and their teams on communications to the firm, including key messages, channels, tone of voice and best practice. Communications planning: develop and implement a communications plan that's people centric, supports CBS strategic priorities, meets the wider business objectives, with creative and engaging tactics that encourage behavioural change. Produce, edit and review: regular and ad-hoc communications including newsletters, Viva Engage posts, articles, emails, webinar scripts and live events posters/digital signage, videos/animations etc. With support from a small central Hub of communications professionals and internal creative and events agencies. Coordinate widely: provide oversight and coordination to ensure communications are part of a consistent and coherent whole Quality, risk and reputation: manage and uphold the highest of standards throughout, consistently meeting the firm's brand standards and regulatory requirements.

This role is perfect for a confident professional Internal Communicator, ideally with substantial experience of supporting a central / shared business services or other operational function.


Essential:

Development of Communications plans for projects, campaigns etc. Working with minimal supervision and to strict deadlines. Operating effectively in a complex, matrixed organisation. Acting as the Internal Communications lead within CBS, representing the IC team within CBS leadership meetings. Effective channels management and reporting. Creating compelling, high-impact content that's consistent with Deloitte's Content Principles and tone of voice. Reporting the effectiveness of project communications, using tools and methodologies that make sense of how we're performing. Using insights to make recommendations for short, medium and longer-term improvements. This will mean influencing key stakeholders with compelling propositions. Agility in working: you'll need to be a team player with other UK firmwide Internal Communications & Engagement team members, and the wider communications and engagement team, in priority projects and any other tasks as required.

Desirable:

Experience of a Central Business Services / Shared Services operation, across geographies. Sentiment analysis of communications effectiveness. Experience with project management tools.
