Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Manager of Volunteer Services to lead our volunteer programme and enhance our community engagement efforts. This role is pivotal in recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers while promoting our mission through effective outreach and fundraising initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for public health, and the ability to educate and inspire others.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategies for recruiting and retaining volunteers. Educate volunteers about the organisation's mission, goals, and programmes. Supervise volunteer activities, ensuring they align with organisational objectives. Manage fundraising initiatives to support volunteer programmes and community outreach efforts. Oversee administrative tasks related to volunteer management, including scheduling and record-keeping. Coordinate projects that involve volunteers, ensuring successful execution from start to finish. Utilise social media management to promote volunteer opportunities and highlight volunteer contributions. Collaborate with other departments to enhance public health initiatives through volunteer involvement.

Requirements

Proven leadership experience in managing teams or volunteer groups. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication skills for educating and engaging volunteers. Experience in fundraising or knowledge of fundraising strategies is advantageous. Familiarity with social media platforms for effective outreach and engagement. Administrative skills, including proficiency in project management tools. A background in public health or related fields is preferred but not essential.
