What is the Casualty Qualification Pathway?

There are two qualification pathways to gain the SQE qualification.

Our graduate solicitor apprenticeship (GSA) is a fast-track route to qualify as a solicitor and will support you through the new pathway to qualification by completion of the Solicitors Qualifying Exams (SQE1 and SQE2) and an internationally recognised Master\'s qualification (LLM), alongside gaining qualifying work experience. You will study with our nominated provider, the University of Law.

This graduate apprenticeship prepares students for day 1 as a qualified solicitor with a particular focus on the skills of Interviewing, Advocacy, Case and Matter Analysis, Legal Research, Legal Writing and Drafting. Upon successful completion, subject to the SRA Character & Suitability test, you will become a fully qualified solicitor with the SRA and subject to your performance on the programme, we hope to be able to offer you a newly qualified solicitor position.

Please note, applicants with non law-degrees and law graduates who graduated before August 2021 will be required to complete a PGDL (5 month law top up course) prior to starting SQE1.

For applicants who hold a law degree AND have completed an LPC, you will be required to complete the SQE2 only, over a 40 week part time course.

For this position you must have 12 months continuous service at Clyde & Co at the time of your application. If you are selected to attend an interview, you must be an employee of the firm during the time of the interview.
