This role reports into the Manufacturing Manager.

Job Function:

Carry out day-to-day processing operations support within Lake Manufacturing and Warehouse Services concerning food & chemical processing, industrial powder packing/repacking, stock management and Health & Safety requirements. As required support the other functions within the warehouse.

Work with the Process Lead to ensure all processing requirements for Lake Manufacturing Services are met.

Support the Process Led to develop the capabilities for the food and chemical processing and laboratory formulation activities.

Duties:

Managing Warehouse and Stock Movements



Produce weekly and monthly stock reports directly relating to food and chemical processing activities Ensure all packaging is available when needed Take photos, scan documents, and email Facilitate stock audits Record and maintain BRC Work Instructions Re-order consumables Liaise with QC and H&S to maintain standards of Quality Management processes, Health and Safety, hygiene, and security in the work environment

Processing



Work and assist in the production, packing, and re-packing activities within the Food Production Rooms and Warehouse areas in LMS1, LMS2, and LMS3 Manage stock levels in conjunction with the Process Lead Carry out cleaning activities to maintain a high standard of food hygiene Assist in the writing and review of procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements Support other processing activities as required Check finished records to ensure right-first-time compliance

Goods Dispatch



Arrange transport for finished goods including deliveries and collections Liaise with customer hauliers to arrange collections and deliveries, and maintain detailed records of these transactions in conjunction with BSC

Health and Safety



Ensure correct handling of materials at all times Follow the requirements of the MSDS to ensure safe handling Ensure high food safety standards are met at all times Safely load and unload materials and finished goods Raise near miss and incident reports Identify locations of raw materials and finished products Check receipt of orders against a purchase order Maintain warehouse cleanliness

Training



Review training requirements for new and existing processes to ensure compliance Ensure training requirements on Your Growth Mindset are completed
Abilities and Skills

Manufacturing & warehousing experience to BRC, FSSC, GMP or similar standards Clear written and oral communication skills Attention to detail, particularly with respect to weights and measures Ability to follow instructions Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Professional telephone manner Understanding SDS, COSHH and Risk Assessments A Forklift Truck qualification and valid license
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to 28,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

Redditch, B98 9PA: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

Forklift Licence (preferred)
Work Location: In person
