An exciting opportunity has arisen for Marketing and Communications Officer to join the Professional Services Team in the Institute for Global Health (IGH).


About the role


------------------


The Marketing and Communications Officer plays a key role in leading the creation and delivery of communications strategies and activities for the Institute. Working closely with the Institute Manager, the Institute Director, the Director of Education and the Director of ED&I, the post holder will lead in areas including but not limited to communications (e-newsletters, social media posts, mailing lists etc.), the development of video content, student recruitment marketing, web content, stakeholder engagement and Institute-wide events.



The postholder will be responsible for leading on producing, delivering and evaluating the Institute's communication strategy in line with the overall Institute strategy.



The post holder will also be responsible for leading on content development for the IGH website, working with the Faculty Marcomms Manager to deliver the faculty-wide content strategy, ensuring content remains accurate, engaging and meets accessibility best practice and legal requirements.



This is a full-time role (i.e. 36.5 hours per week) and it is available for three years in the first instance.

Salary range: 43,981 to 52,586 per annum (including London Allowance), depending on experience.

About you

It is essential that the successful candidate has previous experience in a communications role and has experience of researching, writing and editing, including technical, academic or specialist material, and reworking this into plain English.



Education to A level standard (Grade C or above) or having acquired relevant experience in terms of writing and analysis, is also essential criterion for this role.



The successful candidate must have strong all-round computer literacy and excellent editing skills, accurate grammar and spelling, with excellent attention to detail. They also must have strong organisational, time management and project management skills, including the ability to work on numerous projects simultaneously.
