Job Description

This role is responsible for leading the development and delivery of effective marketing and campaign strategies that promote the charity's services, fundraising efforts, and advocacy work. It involves managing multi-channel campaigns--across digital, print, social media, and email--to raise awareness and engagement while ensuring that all communications align with the charity's brand identity. The role requires creating compelling content for various platforms, from social media to newsletters and promotional materials, while maintaining a consistent tone and message.

In addition to content creation, the role includes managing the charity's social media presence, building public and media relations, and coordinating press opportunities. Collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders is essential for gathering impactful stories and insights that enhance campaigns. The position also involves monitoring and reporting on marketing performance, staying informed about industry trends, and continuously refining strategies to maximize the charity's visibility and impact.

Job description



Marketing and Campaign Management:



? Develop and implement marketing strategies and campaigns to promote the charity's services, activities, and impact.

? Work with teams across the charity to create content for fundraising, service awareness, and advocacy campaigns.

? Manage and execute multi-channel campaigns, including digital, print, social media, and email marketing.

? Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, producing reports on key metrics and insights.

Content Creation and Management:



? Produce high-quality, engaging content across multiple platforms, including the website, social media, newsletters, leaflets and brochures.

? ? Maintain a consistent brand voice across all marketing communications.

? Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that content is aligned with the charity's values and goals.

? Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in messaging.

Social Media Management:



? Manage and grow the charity's social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn), ensuring content is relevant and engaging.

? Develop a social media content calendar and create posts to support campaigns and key dates.

? Engage with the online community, responding to inquiries, comments, and feedback in a timely manner.

Public Relations and Media Relations:



? Support the development and delivery of the charity's media strategy, working with journalists and media outlets to secure coverage.

? Draft press releases, media statements, and other communications for distribution to media outlets.

? Coordinate interviews, briefings, and media opportunities for senior staff and spokespeople.

Brand and Visual Identity:



? Ensure that all marketing and communications materials are aligned with the charity's brand guidelines and visual identity.

? Support the design and production of promotional materials, including flyers, posters, reports, and digital assets.

Stakeholder Engagement:



? Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., service teams, volunteers) to gather stories, data, and insights for marketing purposes.

? Support partnerships and stakeholder engagement activities through targeted communications and promotional efforts.

Monitoring and Reporting:



? Track, measure, and report on the performance of marketing and communications activities, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

? Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and insights that can enhance marketing strategies.

? Maintain accurate records of marketing communications and manage media contacts.

Person Specification



Essential

:

Proven experience in marketing, communications, or a similar role, ideally within the charity or not-for-profit sector.

Experience in creating and delivering successful marketing campaigns across a variety of channels.

Experience managing social media platforms and using analytics tools to assess engagement and reach.

Skills and Competencies:



Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to tailor content for different audiences and platforms.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of digital marketing tools, social media platforms, email marketing, and content management systems (e.g., WordPress).

Strong understanding of branding, messaging, and the importance of consistency across all communication channels.

Proficiency in using analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights) to assess the success of campaigns.

Pay: 23,810.00-28,000.00 per year
