Job Title: Marketing & A&R Assistant, Rhino (3 Month Temp Contract)
A little bit about our team:
Rhino is the xe2x80x98home of great music. For the past 40 years the label has been synonymous with quality, innovation and expert curation. The label is home to Warner Musics amazing catalogue releases, covering some of the biggest names in music from David Bowie to Aretha Franklin, Fleetwood Mac to Pink Floyd, The Smiths to Prince.
Your role:
This role will allow you to work closely with various teams to curate and market new physical and digital releases. Creating a strong working relationship with the Production, Commercial, Finance, Global Catalogue, Asset Library, Audience and Engagement, Merchandise, and E-Commerce teams will be key to succeeding in the role. Youll also be working with artists, managers, streaming platforms, and external suppliers that specialise in delivering creative services.
Youll be working with all the major retail and media platforms, including Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube, and Apple Music and TikTok, with the freedom to build your own initiatives to drive streams of this incredible catalogue.
Here youll get to:

  • Work closely with the rest of the Marketing & A&R team and assist on all aspects of an artist marketing campaign across our roster of artists. Providing support from ideation and planning, all the way through to execution and beyond.
  • Support on both physical and streaming campaigns across both traditional marketing and digital. Responsibilities include assisting on the physical release process, generating organic marketing ideas, briefing in social/creative assets, assisting on artist copy for socials/mailers, arranging meetings and agendas.
  • Provide assistance on supporting streaming pitch processes to Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Put together content plans for artist social media accounts
  • Implement marketing plans and measure the effectiveness of these plans through regular analysis of streaming data
  • Work effectively with other teams and departments i.e. commercial, production, international marketing
  • Create Purchase Orders for all marketing and digital marketing related activations. Ensuring these are assigned to the correct project and accounted for in the related budget.
  • Keep up to date and communicate all marketing developments, new technologies and competitors marketing campaigns.
  • Assist A&R & marketing directors in the discovery and evaluation of potential new catalogue acquisitions and re-origination projects, including market research, and trend analysis.
  • Coordinate all administrative aspects of A&R projects, including maintaining databases, tracking project timelines, and managing budgets.
  • Research and identify potential creative collaborators (e.g., remixers, producers for new versions) for catalogue projects.
  • Manage the clearance process for samples, interpolations, and other third-party content for catalogue reissues and new originations.
  • Liaise with the sync and licensing teams to identify opportunities for catalogue placements.
About you:
  • A passion for music across a variety of genres.
  • Experience with record labels in an A&R and marketing capacity, E-Commerce teams, physical product curation, and supply chain operations.
  • Great organisation skills and the ability to prioritise workload, goals, targets, time, and to work independently and proactively.
  • Attention to detail with great communication and multi-tasking skills.
  • Motivation to build relationships with a wide range of internal and external contacts.
  • Strong computer skills, especially with MS Office. Photoshop knowledge is a bonus.
  • Excellent knowledge/interest of the UK music market and fully understand the latest product innovations and consumer trends in the current landscape and developments within the music industry.

  • An understanding of our roster of catalogue and frontline artists.
  • Have studied Business, marketing, promotions, but not necessarily in music.
