Marketing Assistant - Maternity Cover (Fixed Term Contract)

About the Role
We are looking for a Marketing Assistant (12 Month Fixed Term Contract) to work closely with and support the Marketing & Office Manager in all marketing and social media activities for the business. This position is available from September 2025 and will provide maternity cover for our current Marketing & Office Coordinator.
This role is best suited to someone at the beginning of their career, who is seeking to gain marketing experience within a dynamic, fast paced and rapidly growing business.
The right candidate will play a key part in the day-to-day marketing activities for the business, supporting the creation of content and visual assets for our digital and print platforms, including social media, website, case studies, award submissions and blogs/press releases/articles - showcasing our growing portfolio of work. The right candidate will be creative, have excellent communication skills and a pro-active attitude. The ability to write very well, with accuracy and attention to detail, is essential.
In return, you will gain experience in content creation, social media marketing and analytics, graphic design and website management - full training will be provided.
Key Skills, Experience & Attributes
Very strong written skills.
Attention to detail, proof reading skills and an eye for graphic design.
Creative mindset.
Ability to use Adobe Creative Cloud Suites (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) is desirable but not essential - training will be provided.
An understanding of Social Media platforms.
Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Good communication and engagement skills.
Ability to work to deadlines, prioritise, be flexible, and manage multiple tasks at once.
A pro-active attitude and ambition to gain valuable experience in a Marketing setting.
A full driving licence would be preferable.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with the day-to-day running of social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn, responding to relevant third-party activities related to projects and producing reactive content.
Support the Marketing & Office Manager with reviewing and redrafting processes for all written communication including, but not limited to, case studies, award submissions, blogs and articles.
Support the Marketing & Office Manager with the creation of website content, including drafting and uploading text, and providing graphic design assistance as required.
Liaise with internal teams to help create proactive campaigns and content, highlighting our projects, work in the industry and research and development activities.
Provide event management support including internal, external and careers events.
Use relevant software to create graphics and visuals for a variety of audiences.
Use relevant software to support the design and production of any marketing documents, including ad hoc brochures, presentations, internal documents and video content, in line with brand guidelines.
Support the Marketing & Office Manager in reporting on progress and analytics in monthly Marketing Meeting with Directors, presenting where required and taking meeting minutes.
