Our Paid Social marketing team has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic digital marketeer at the start of their career journey!
The Marketing Assistant will work with the internal paid social media team to support the delivery of a key area within the business (including tactical implementation and delivery).
The team focuses on delivering excellence through paid social advertising, data analysis, and building relationships with our suppliers (e.g. LinkedIn, Meta, ResearchGate, X/Twitter) and marketing planners.
Reporting into the Paid Social Marketing Manager you will support with the planning, delivery and reporting of brand aligned, ROI maximised, effective and efficient paid social media marketing activity.
What you will be doing:
Build and implement new paid social advertising campaigns according to briefs
Create new ad copy
Support with reporting on campaign and post-performance
Carry out research in-line with marketing briefs
Work closely with planners to support their business targets
Report and monitor paid social campaign results and spend against our budget expectations and targets
Monitor competitor activity and discover new opportunities
Make recommendations to improve performance and drive further efficiencies
Identify any performance issues
Be closely involved with our ResearchGate campaigns
This role would suit someone who is passionate about digital marketing and is looking to develop their knowledge and understanding of digital marketing practices, with a particular focus on paid social media advertising.
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
An interest in social media and all things performance marketing
Strong numerical and analytical skills and comfortable working with data
Experience using Excel and presenting data
Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written
Great time-management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
An eagerness to learn and show initiative
Previous knowledge and experience of paid social media marketing would be beneficial but this is not essential
Additional Information
Location: The successful candidate will be able to utilise our balanced working model. We ask that candidates live within a commutable distance of either our Blackfriars, London office or our Milton Park, Abingdon (Oxfordshire) office to ensure that as a balanced worker they can make it to our office locations to collaborate as required. There is an expectation for a minimum of 3 days per week in-person time.
