HS2, Britain's new high-speed railway is at peak construction. Balfour Beatty VINCI is HS2's construction partner in the Midlands, responsible for delivering 90km of the route, from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.

Marketing Communications Coordinator - Communications Function

Location:

Based at Fort Dunlop - this location sits on the eastern edge of Birmingham, adjacent to the M6 motorway, providing excellent transport links into the city and across the region. Fort Dunlop serves as a key hub within IPT Area North, supporting operations that span multiple sublots and regional activities. Its strategic position makes it an important point for coordination and access, with proximity to major infrastructure routes ensuring connectivity to both the Central Region and wider project areas.


Role Responsibilities



Lead on the production of marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, and presentations, using a mixture of Canva, Adobe Creative Suite and MS PowerPoint. Assist in creating and publishing content for BBV social media and the BBV website. Help maintain and update the BBV website with accurate and timely information. Coordinate photography and videography requests across BBV and maintain media libraries. Support the BBV Videographer/Photographer with subtitling of videos. Draft simple copy for internal and external communications under guidance. Provide administrative support to the Communications Team, including management of HS2's Visual Library, filing, archiving, and tracking marketing communications projects.

Essential Experience:



Good written and verbal communication skills. Proven experience using graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva). Proficient in Microsoft 365, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint. Basic knowledge of social media and websites. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks while adhering to deadlines. Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities. Confident and outgoing. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites within the Birmingham area.
