We are looking for a capable marketing content creator with a focus on digital, social and email marketing channels to drive engagement with our future student audiences throughout the customer journey.
You will be expected to coordinate a range of multi-channel marketing activities to support the delivery of effective marketing strategies and tactics which contribute to key student recruitment and marketing goals. This will include planning, creating and publishing content across a range of digital channels, delivering email marketing campaigns and producing marketing content and assets to support events and other student recruitment activities.
You will have experience of working in a marketing role, including the use of content management systems, social media platforms and email marketing systems, and bring strong planning and communication skills, allowing you to work with a range of stakeholders to deliver effective processes and ensure the timely publishing of accurate and engaging content.
You will be a capable writer with the ability to produce compelling copy for digital consumption, and a have the ability to provide advice and guidance to stakeholders to support digital content best practice.
The department
The Recruitment, Communications and Marketing (RCM) directorate brings together teams responsible for student admissions and recruitment, student recruitment and strategic marketing, events, external engagement, and internal communications.
Together we aim to deliver an excellent customer-centred admissions and student recruitment service, supporting applicants from their initial enquiry to enrolment. We engage with schools, colleges, and community partners to widen our participation and outreach, lead our student recruitment operations such as clearing and open days, as well as support recruitment and drive conversion through high quality targeted marketing activity.
We develop and implement the University's corporate and reputational brand strategy, campaigns, website, CRM system, content and social media strategies, provide professional news and PR, public affairs and corporate events service, and deliver strategic, cross-University employee and student communications.
This role sits within the Student Recruitment Marketing department. We are responsible for delivering high quality, high impact, engaging and targeted marketing activity that drives lead generation, student recruitment and conversion throughout each stage of the customer journey.

You will be contractually enrolled into the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) - one of the largest and most generous defined-benefit pension schemes in the country.
Each year you will earn a secure pension benefit of 1/49th of your salary and the University will pay pension contributions towards the cost of this pension (currently worth about 22% of your salary). For a starting salary of 25,000, for example, the University would pay just over 5,400 in the first year of your employment and you would earn a pension of 510 p.a. for that year (payable from your State Pension Age).
