We are working exclusively with this superb organisation in Leeds who are in the process of researching and developing an innovative product that will have a significant impact in supporting the climate change crisis. This company has doubled in size in the last year, with further growth planned in the coming years and offers a diverse and very flexible working culture. They are looking to appoint a Marketing & Communications Manager to join their collaborative team in Leeds. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will have full responsibility for the design and implementation of the Marketing & Communications strategy for the Company. This is a challenging and rewarding role for the right candidate, offering International exposure and the real opportunity to make a positive impact and connect with the wider community within the climate change sector.

We are looking for Candidates who have a recognised Marketing Degree or qualification and have worked within a Marketing Management role for a minimum of 5 years. Related experience within this sector, or an appetite to be involved with climate change is important for this role, as is real ambition and a tenacious approach to your work. This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate, who has a natural passion for driving marketing projects through to completion.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • You will design a clear and comprehensive Marketing strategy for the business, working closely with the CEO and other members of the C-Suite
  • You will lead on campaign activities based on the Marketing strategy, relating to Events, PR & Media exposure, in addition to a full social media campaign
  • Continually assessing sponsorships, working with supplier partners
  • Organising the company\'s representation at Global Events and managing associated PR & Communications around Events, continually researching new innovative Events
  • Developing an effective communications strategy to promote the superb work that this company is involved with, focusing on key social media platforms - LinkedIn, X (Twitter) etc. - writing compelling copy working with external creative agencies
  • Managing and executing the new company brand identity working within brand guidelines, including full collateral management
  • Public Relations - focusing on raising the company\'s public profile whilst maintaining brand image
  • Liaising with International stakeholders including interest groups, business leaders, business networks, etc.
  • Assessing the effectiveness of social media campaigns and monitoring and reporting on analytics
This is a fluid and evolving environment and would suit a \'hands on\' Marketing & Communications Manager with a proactive approach who is not only committed to the wider scope of this role, but equally, focuses on the smaller and team based elements to it. You will have strong ethics and sound judgement and will enjoy working collaboratively within a focused and intelligent team of individuals.

What is required:
  • You will have an interest in, or experience of working within a climate change related Company with an understanding of the Government\'s Net Zero Policy
  • A degree or related Marketing qualification
  • Superb written communication skills to write effective communication, PR and marketing materials
  • 5 years\' experience of working within a similar Marketing Manager role, with experience in creating and executing a full annual Marketing & Communications strategy working within budget
  • Strong reporting skills with experience in reporting on marketing analytics
  • Strong PR experience to ensure timing is right, editorial content is excellent and the overall message is effective
  • You will have the ability to assess target markets and also scope competitors and report on your findings
  • Excellent attention to detail, continually assessing relevant publications to raise the business profile
  • Strong event planning and management experience
  • Proficiency with Adobe InDesign & the MS Office Suite
  • Excellent knowledge of e-marketing and digital communication
