MCS Group is currently working exclusively with Now Group to recruit a Marketing & Communications Manager for their Belfast based HQ, with occasional travel to other sites across NI and ROI.

As part of the Senior Management Team, the Marketing & Communications Manager will develop, execute and manage the marketing, communications, and events activities across the organisation.

You will be creative and innovative, with a \'can do\' attitude and ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment and. You will possess excellent communications skills and will work on a broad range of projects. You will be flexible and adaptable in approach and duties.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support and develop the Marketing and Communications strategy across the organisation.
  • Implement a communications and marketing plan in collaboration with the Executive Team and CEO.
  • Be the lead point of contact for the Marketing & Communications Sub Group board meetings.
  • Manage and oversee an allocated budget to deliver the comms, marketing/events plan - including items such as paid online advertising, media purchasing, and event delivery.
  • Maintain multi-level marketing and communications platforms, both to B2B and B2C.
  • Manage relationships with external partners such as appointed PR agency, suppliers, public sector bodies to promote events and the work across all its various objectives.
  • Develop, plan, implement and measure the success of the organisation\'s calendar of events.
  • Manage the organisation\'s website and all social media platforms to monitor performance and produce action plans based on the results.
  • Oversee social media accounts creating dynamic and consistent content that increases audience interaction as well as driving traffic to the company website.
  • Gather information and generate/update content across the organisation\'s website including blogs, events, offers and business directory pages.
  • Work with preferred suppliers to ensure timely and impactful design and print management.
  • Manage collaborative communications with project partners.
  • Inform local stakeholders about upcoming events and activities.
  • Maintain the organisations brand and ensure all internal and external communications and materials are on brand and of a high standard.
  • Line management of Digital Marketing Executive.
  • Ensure there is a diversity, equity and inclusion lens across everything they do and that their participants are top of mind at all times.
Essential Criteria:
  • Marketing degree or other relevant third level qualification.
  • At least 3 years\' experience in a senior marketing/ event management role with a proven track record of success in achieving objectives and articulating ROI.
  • Demonstrable experience managing a budget to deliver agreed outcomes.
  • Demonstrable experience working with a wider team of PR professionals, event organisers and advertising agency staff to deliver successful campaigns/events.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing marketing campaigns from concept to execution to measurement.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing social media platform marketing campaigns.
  • Demonstrable experience of working with a wide range of partner organisations and stakeholders to deliver business plan objectives.
  • The ability to use a wide range of IT packages - including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook etc.
Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills, specifically written English.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail, proof reading and collating complex information into reports.
  • Excellent IT skills with specific experience of working with databases, MS office applications, Google Analytics, and all social media (including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn).
  • Highly organised with excellent time and project management skills, and with the ability to prioritise a wide range of competing demands.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to engage and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to give presentations to a diverse range of audiences.
