Job Description

We are seeking a creative and proactive Marketing & Content Creator Assistant to lead the creation of visual and written content to help grow our brand presence and attract new customers across digital platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and more.

About Us

Horizon Magna Motor Group is a privately owned automotive retailer with 12 dealerships across Dorset, Hampshire, Somerset, and Wiltshire. Established in Poole in 1971, we proudly represent Honda, Mazda, Nissan, and Mitsubishi.

The Role

Based on-site in Christchurch, this is a full-time role reporting to our Marketing Manager. You'll play a key part in creating high-quality visual and written content for campaigns, websites, and social media.

We're looking for someone with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in content creation, marketing, and video production.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, produce and edit engaging content (video, photo, copy, animation) for use across all platforms Film and photograph content on-site and occasionally at other dealership locations Create and schedule posts across platforms (e.g., YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) Edit video footage into compelling short-form and long-form content Manage social media accounts: content creation, scheduling, posting, engagement and optimisation Tailor tone and messaging to suit each platform and audience Track performance and generate monthly reports on campaign and platform metrics Maintain and update website content and assist with email marketing campaigns Use manufacturer content portals and assets effectively Conduct competitor research and contribute creative ideas to increase online reach Support the Marketing Manager and team with wider campaign execution and strategy

What We're Looking For

Skills & Experience

Proven experience in digital marketing, content creation and video production Confident with camera work (photography and videography) Strong copywriting and proofreading skills with excellent grammar Familiarity with tools like Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, and YouTube Studio Understanding of social media trends, formats (reels, shorts, etc.), and algorithms Ability to analyse performance data and adjust strategy accordingly

Personal Qualities

Self-motivated, organised, and proactive Excellent communication skills - verbal and written Creative, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute ideas Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines Friendly, professional manner and a team player

Key Requirements

Based in or near Christchurch, Dorset Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to other dealership locations Marketing experience is essential

Salary & Benefits

Salary

: 27,000 per annum

Hours

: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 (1-hour unpaid break)

Location

: Magna Mazda Christchurch, Stony Lane, BH23 7LQ

Holiday

: 30 days per year (inclusive of bank holidays)
