As a Marketing co-ordinator for the Isles of Scilly Steamship Group, you will play a key role in planning and delivering effective marketing campaigns that promote our brand and services to a wide audience. You'll be responsible for creating compelling content and materials that engage, inform, and inspire both existing and potential customers. Your work will help drive awareness, build trust, and support business growth through targeted initiatives across digital and traditional channels.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the creation of Group wide external and internal content such as- website copy, briefing papers, publications, blogs and operational communications.
Social Media content creation: working alongside your colleagues, help develop, implement and manage social media content across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, Pinterest and LinkedIn. Respond to comments and messages, fostering and building an engaged online community.
Ensure all communications are created to the brands tone of voice and tailored to the correct target audience to enhance their understanding of our services and travel plans.
Work closely with marketing, freight operations and passenger relations service teams to ensure consistent messaging and effective communication of key initiatives and operational changes, such as weather and disruption alerts.
Research and create press schedules and brand partnership activity programs working alongside our press officer
Assist with event organisation

Ideal Candidate:
At least 2-3 years of experience in a marketing communications role. Ideally in travel, tourism or transport
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to simplify complex concepts for a broad audience.
Proven success in managing multi-channel marketing projects
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to proofread and ensure accuracy across all communications.
Demonstrated experience with all types of social media (e.g. Facebook, X, Instagram, TIK TOK, Pintrest, Vimeo and YouTube advertising etc.)
Organised and proactive, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and web content management systems, Adobe Suite, WordPress, AguraPulse,
* Degree or diploma in marketing, communications or business or a related field is preferred but not essential if offset by experience
