Marketing Internships
Location: Weybridge

We're on the lookout for our next Marketing Interns for our Student Placement Year Programme at Sony Europe -- giving you the chance to gain hands-on experience in multiple areas of marketing at a world-leading brand.
We have multiple positions across a range of teams & so you could be working on:

• Content & Communications: creating campaigns, videos, and posts that engage audiences across platforms
• Product & Brand Marketing: helping plan campaigns, launch new products, and shape brand strategy
• Analytics & Insights: measuring campaign performance, interpreting data, and helping drive smarter marketing decisions

You'll collaborate with incredible Marketing professionals, contribute to projects that reach millions, and develop invaluable transferable skills in content creation, strategy, and project management -- all in a fast-paced, creative, and supportive environment.

The Role(s)
As mentioned above, we are hiring for multiple Marketing internships! During our assessment process, we'll spend a lot of time getting to know your skills, strengths & traits to match you with the role where you'll thrive the most.
This approach means you won't be just placed randomly. You'll be offered a role where your talents and interests align. It will ensure your internship will be both challenging and rewarding, all whilst providing you that real-world experience that will prove invaluable later down the line in your career.
What could you be doing?
Content & Communication:

• Create engaging marketing content for social media, emails, websites, partner portals, and other channels.
• Develop product presentations, sales tools, and marketing assets for launches and campaigns.
• Support internal and external communication activities, including dealer and product announcement events.
• Ensure marketing materials are up-to-date and aligned with brand messaging across Europe.

Campaigns & Product Launches:

• Assist with online and offline activation of new products, including tracking, reporting, and implementing campaigns across European markets.
• Support tradeshows, focus groups, and other events to promote products and gather customer insights.
• Manage the distribution and tracking of product samples for promotional activities.

Market & Customer Insights:

• Analyse market trends, competitor pricing, and customer feedback (including reviews and Voice of Customer data) to inform marketing and product strategies.
• Produce competition charts and reports to benchmark Sony products versus competitors.
• Track country-specific market share, opportunities, and campaign performance metrics.

Collaboration & Project Support:

• Work with marketing delivery teams, global HQ, presales, and business development managers to brief, plan, and deliver projects from start to finish.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Europe to optimise marketing assets, campaigns, and communication activities.
• Support general marketing operational activities and daily coordination with local markets and internal teams.

What we need you to bring?

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A strong interest in data-driven marketing, marketing communication, social media and technology.
• Analytical prowess with a deep-rooted fascination for data.
• An assertive, proactive attitude with a willingness to get involved wherever required.
• Fluency in English, knowledge of other European languages is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Power BI). Knowledge of graphical programs (e.g., Photoshop and Canva) is of advantage.

Our Recruitment Process
After you have submitted your application, selected candidates will be asked to complete a self-service video interview. After we have carefully reviewed all the video interviews, those who successfully meet our hiring criteria will be invited to a virtual assessment centre with our hiring teams. During the assessment centre, you'll be presented with various activities that allow us to see what you can do but also enable you to get a taste of what your day-day work will entail. You'll also get a chance to meet some of our current interns & hear why you should be so excited to jump in. After the assessment centre has concluded, we'll move to the offer stage, and before you know it, you'll be here at Sony!
Throughout the recruitment process until your start date, you'll have regular connections with our HR & Sony Placement Year programme team, as well as our current interns to answer any questions and provide guidance and further information on your Sony journey. This will also allow you to connect with the other future interns who will form the 2026 Sony cohort and start building your network. If you will need to relocate, this is also a great opportunity to find others in the same situation.

Your new office
Based at the Weybridge office, you will enjoy a vibrant and friendly working environment. We have an onsite canteen with a wide range of options available, and a barista style coffee shop. There is a well-provisioned onsite gym run by our own Sony Wellbeing Coordinator, with classes on set days in the mornings, at lunch and after work hours. We have a staff car park which includes electric charging points, an undercover and secure bike rack, or if you will use public transport we have a shuttle bus service that regularly runs between train station and the office at peak times.
