About Us:
We are a local Devon based family business with over 45 years' experience in the industry. We recently took over Landscove Holidays Ltd from a large corporate group and are looking for a vibrant Marketing Manager to drive our holiday bookings and caravan/lodge sales, as well as increasing our digital presence and brand awareness. Landscove Holidays Ltd comprises of two holiday parks next door to each other on the stunning South West Coast Path on Berry Head, Brixham. The role will also incorporate our small, new, luxury eco holiday Hideaway development on the River Dart close by. We offer peaceful relaxing breaks in beautiful locations with a mixture of holiday lettings and private owners. We promote relaxing holidays for all ages in beautiful, peaceful locations with many local nearby attractions to explore.
The Role:
The Marketing Manager is responsible for the overall marketing strategy of the business, planning, creating and delivering it with a focus on digital channels to drive the business forward and increasing our customer base and sales. This role takes ownership of social media content, website updates, email campaigns, and marketing performance reporting to help drive engagement, bookings, and brand awareness. Working closely with the rest of our team to identify booking gaps, marketing opportunities and to promote offers.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule and create an engaging annual marketing plan for the businesses to generate bookings, sales and on park spend.
Mange the marketing budget, ensuring that all marketing and communication plans are cost effective.
Evaluate the performance of marketing campaigns and strategies, adjusting as necessary.
Research and analyse market trends, pricing and competitor products/services to inform the marketing strategy.
Build and maintain relationships with third party marketing opportunities, tourist information, attractions and other organisations to increase business, promote the park and local relationships.
Proactively suggest marketing concepts, ideas to further the business to the management team.
Actively watch booking trends to forward plan tariff adjustments, offers and maximise occupancy.
Plan, create, and schedule engaging content for all social media platforms, search engines and review websites, ensuring all comments, reviews, questions etc are responded to as appropriate.
Manage and update website content, ensuring accuracy and a great user experience.
Build and send regular email campaigns and newsletters using marketing tools (we use Brevo).
Monitor and report on campaign performance using tools such as Google Analytics and social media insights.
Support the creation of marketing materials (online and print) to guarantee consistent, clear and professional customer communication.
Work with internal colleagues to gather content, images, and updates for campaigns.
Suggest improvements to digital channels based on data and user feedback.
Stay up to date with trends in digital marketing and competitor activity.
Ensure accuracy of information photography and pricing across all channels.
Skills & Experience:
Degree qualification and or Charted Institute of Marketing qualification.
2-3 years of experience in a similar, management role.
Experience within the hospitality or leisure industry is preferable.
Good knowledge and experience of social media platforms including advertising.
Experience with email marketing tools and basic design platforms (e.g., Canva).
Familiarity with website CMS systems (e.g., WordPress or similar).
Understanding of Google Analytics and marketing KPIs.
Good working knowledge of Google Ads and/or other online advertising networks.
Strong communication, creativity, and time-management skills.
Strong PC skills and ability to navigate our management system to acquire necessary information for your role (Training will be provided).
