MARKETING MANAGER



Our products at Mash Direct have won an array of taste and quality awards and we are now hiring a dynamic and results-driven Marketing Manager to lead our marketing initiatives and enhance our brand presence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of marketing strategies, digital trends, and project management. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to analyse market data to drive successful campaigns.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will play a critical role in translating strategic goals into brand execution and performance marketing. You will operate with three direct reports, requiring a hands-on approach across strategy and execution, and close collaboration with the Chief Commercial Officer on trade marketing and New Product Development.

You will manage all activity within the marketing department, ensuring team members deliver marketing campaigns and objectives in line with agreed KPIs and will lead brand awareness and positive engagement with key internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities



Strategic Planning and KPIs:



Develop, plan, and execute a marketing, digital and communications strategy to deliver compelling campaigns across all marketing disciplines, including media and public relations, awards, digital platforms, event management, sales, retailer support and insights. Drive brand tiering strategy, availability campaigns, and own label development initiatives. Plan and manage integrated marketing campaigns to elevate brand position and drive revenue. .

Marketing Operations Management:



Collaborate with the senior leadership team to meet business goals. Ensure brand consistency across all marketing and communications channels. Manage production and distribution of all marketing materials in line with branding guidelines.

Budget Management:



Manage a marketing budget ROI focus. Track budgets closely and identify ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Implement process improvements within the department.

People Management:



Work with the Head of People and Culture to develop a people strategy and improve internal communications and EPV. Allocate jobs, monitor KPIs, and oversee recruitment. Promote safety awareness and compliance for health and safety, food safety and fire safety.

Campaign Management:



Create marketing and communications plans including PR, digital, and event campaigns. Manage multiple projects within agreed timeframes. Track campaign effectiveness using KPIs and insights. Oversee concept-to-delivery for promotions, experiential events, and product launches.

Digital Strategy:



Develop digital strategy and communications plan with the Digital Marketing Lead Track digital performance against KPIs and budget. Collaborate with the digital team to improve engagement and social reach.

Communication Strategy:



Lead media, public relations, and awards strategy. Ensure alignment between communication strategies and commercial, digital, and product objectives. Directly manage the Communications and Events Executive, supporting the execution of PR activities, event planning, internal messaging, sampling, and award entries. Represent the brand at industry networking events.

Innovation & NPD Collaboration:



Lead market and consumer insight analysis to support product development. Develop go-to-market plans for new products and packaging. Align launches with commercial strategy and retailer needs.

Consumer & Market Insight:



Build and maintain a monthly insight dashboard Translate insights into strategic actions for messaging. Conduct regular competitor reviews to identify opportunities. Share insights across departments including NPD and sales.

Sales & Commercial Team Collaboration:



Partner with the Chief Commercial Officer and sales team to support branded growth. Co-develop promotional plans and in-store marketing assets. Align marketing calendars with sales cycles and targets. Contribute to key account pitches and presentations.
