Working closely with the Commercial Director and Sales Team, you will develop and implement marketing strategies with a strong focus on driving sales growth and achieving company targets. The role includes significant use of social media and digital platforms to promote the business and its offerings.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and implement marketing initiatives
across multiple platforms, ensuring alignment with company goals. You will be responsible for producing posts and content for publication.
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, especially Sales, to support sales growth.
Campaign analysis:
Measure, analyse, and report on marketing campaigns against ROI and KPI targets.
Budget management:
Oversee marketing budgets and set goals based on historical performance and market forecasts.
Market research:
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and best practices.
Brand messaging:
Ensure consistent and effective communication to attract and retain customers.
Content creation:
Copywriting, graphic design, and video editing for various marketing materials e.g., website, email campaigns, print etc.
Event coordination:
Organise and oversee exhibitions and promotional events.
Product support:
Oversee current offerings and propose initiatives for new products/services.
Data analysis:
Research and analyse market trends, demographics, pricing, and competitor products to inform strategy.
IT proficiency:
Use Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and main social media platforms for data analysis and presentation creation.
Digital marketing:
Manage and optimise SEO and SEM campaigns including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, own websites.
Person Specification
Experience:
Relevant marketing experience required, ideally in the resources and waste sector. Role could suit a recent graduate with some industry experience. A marketing degree is advantageous but not essential.
Skills:
Confident, dynamic, and enthusiastic with strong planning, communication, and marketing skills. Experience of using HubSpot marketing tools desirable.
Expertise:
Ability to develop coherent strategies, deliver creative content, and demonstrate innovative thinking in digital marketing.
Strong communication, planning, and creative skills are essential, and you will have strong interpersonal skills to work effectively as part of a sales and marketing team.
Ability to meet agreed deadlines and to produce work in a collaborative way is essential. Priority on meeting the needs of sales and company growth targets is crucial.
Proficient in digital marketing, content creation, and campaign management.
Willingness to travel
occasionally for events and to other company locations within the UK.
