We're looking for a dynamic, commercially minded Marketing Manager you will be responsible for creating, delivering, and managing the full marketing function at Gloucester Quays, one of the UK's most vibrant retail outlet and leisure destinations.
This is a high-impact, hands-on role for a strategic thinker and creative executor who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You'll deliver innovative, integrated campaigns, curate destination-defining events, and drive digital engagement to elevate Gloucester Quays' brand and performance.
As the on-site marketing manager, you'll support by being a brand guardian and a growth driver, balancing creativity with commercial insight to deliver measurable results.
Working closely with the Associate Marketing Director, you'll collaborate with tenants, agencies, and key stakeholders to position Gloucester Quays as a market-leading retail, leisure, and destination.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing & Campaign Delivery

  • Support the Associate Marketing Director develop and implement the annual marketing strategy aligned to asset performance goals.
  • Deliver integrated, multi-channel campaigns across digital, social, PR, experiential and traditional media.
  • Manage all seasonal and destination campaigns (Christmas, Summer, Half Term, Halloween, etc.) from concept to evaluation.
  • Champion Gloucester Quays' brand identity and storytelling across all marketing touchpoints.
  • Ensure all marketing activity aligns with commercial objectives, footfall growth, and tenant support.
Digital Marketing, Content & CRM
  • Own the digital marketing across website, social, email and paid media. o Create and manage social and email content calendars tailored to segmented audiences.
  • Grow reach and engagement across Meta, TikTok and emerging platforms.
  • Collaborate with PR and influencer agencies to drive awareness. o Use CRM tools (e.g. Mailchimp) to personalise communications and drive loyalty.
  • Optimise digital performance using SEO/SEM, analytics, and A/B testing to improve conversion and ROI.
Events & Experiential Marketing
  • Curate and deliver impactful destination events that increase footfall, dwell time, and brand engagement.
  • Manage event logistics, production, and on-site delivery from start to finish.
  • Partner with community groups, schools, and charities for authentic engagement.
  • Identify and develop commercial opportunities through sponsorships and partnerships.
  • Measure success via key KPIs: footfall uplift, dwell time, social mentions, NPS, and ROI.
Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build strong relationships with tenants (retail, F&B, leisure) and local partners.
  • Collaborate with the centre management, leasing, and operations teams to support business objectives.
  • Manage agencies (creative, PR, events, media) to deliver high-quality, on-brand campaigns.
  • Engage with local authorities, community groups, and organisations to strengthen destination reputation.
Insights, Reporting & Financial Management
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (footfall, sales, engagement, ROI).
  • Use tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Insights, CRM dashboards, footfall counters and sales platforms to inform decisions.
  • Produce monthly reports with actionable insights and strategic recommendations for the Associate Marketing Director and Internal Stakeholders.
  • Manage budgets, raise purchase orders, and process invoices accurately and efficiently.
Administration & Organisation
  • Maintain organised reporting, filing, and administrative systems.
  • Ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and brand standards across all communications.
  • Display confidence, initiative, and strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
What You Bring
  • 4+ years' experience in retail, outlet, leisure, or destination marketing.
  • Proven success in B2C campaign delivery across digital, experiential, and traditional channels.
  • Strategic, creative, and commercially minded approach with a focus on ROI.
  • Strong communicator and collaborator with excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing agencies, suppliers, and complex project timelines.
  • Proficient in CRM platforms, Meta Ads Manager, Google Suite, analytics, and SEO/SEM tools.
  • Organised, proactive, and results-driven comfortable working independently while part of a wider team.
Desirable
  • Degree level or equivalent, preferably in Marketing.
  • Available to sometimes work weekends, during annual events & national calendar days.
  • Experience in placemaking, real estate, or property marketing.
  • Understanding of tenant relations and leasing communications.
  • Creative flair for design, storytelling, and campaign ideation.
  • Familiarity with loyalty programmes, tourism marketing, and visitor reward schemes.
