The role in brief:

Location: Manchester
We are looking for a creative, confident marketing professional to be part of our growing team. This is a new in-house position for Refinery, so you'll be able to get stuck in, define the strategy and make it your own. This is a key position in the agency, reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with Heads of Department.
Drive strategic marketing activity that builds brand awareness, elevates our profile, and positions Refinery as a leader in the industry.
Leverage a mix of digital marketing and relationship-building tactics -- from programmatic display, CRM-driven email campaigns, and social media sponsorships to LinkedIn InMails, strategic partnerships, curated events, and targeted outreach -- to grow our network, increase brand visibility, and engage the right audiences.
Creation of an annual calendar detailing all day-to-day marketing activities for the agency.
Consult with department heads on marketing strategy and priorities.
Having a finger on the pulse of all of our activity to be able to bring our brand to life and communicate it in a meaningful way.
Creating and curating thought pieces for industry press/website.
Leading on the co-ordination of any events that we host or attend.
Establish strong internal processes and identify the correct marketing tools to ensure that we have high quality creds and case studies - constantly keeping these up to date and on-brand.
Monitoring competitors and best in class activity, bringing forward recommendations and insights to the senior management team.
Lead on forming a strategy for entering creative industry awards - both creative and effectiveness - project managing the quality of the submissions.
Identify industry events that staff should attend including arranging speaker slots if applicable.
Manage all prospect data (name, address, 'touches,' etc.) and reporting on CRM system (Hubspot).
About you:
Ideally, you will have experience in a creative agency or working client side, with a proven track record of successful strategic implementations that have directly correlated to brand growth.
You will have demonstrable experience across all marketing channels and previous experience of running campaigns and developing strategies independently (e.g. events, webinars, email campaign, PR, thought-leadership activity). Additionally, you will have an applied understanding of social platforms, measurement tools and digital /social best practices.
You'll need this background to be able to spot opportunities, engage and be knowledgeable with internal and external stakeholders, understanding the agency's offering and manage work successfully through the agency.You'll enjoy the thrill of creating relationships, exploring new areas for brands and converting interest into new client relationships. You are an independent thinker who can lead meetings, ask insightful questions and pre-empt challenges to then provide realistic solutions.
