Cotswold Friends is a local charity based in Moreton-in-Marsh, which for over 45 years has been providing Community Transport, Befriending, Carer Wellbeing and Community Activities to older and vulnerable people in the Cotswolds. We aim to combat loneliness and isolation. Our voluntary services improve health and wellbeing and support independent living.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to lead and develop the Marketing function for an established and well-respected local charity. As the Marketing Manager, you will report directly to the CEO and be supported by a Marketing Co-ordinator working 12 hours per week and a team of Marketing volunteers. Your role will involve:
Development and implementation of Marketing strategy and plans, informed by research and data analysis, to support the charity in the achievement of short and long-term objectives
Development and implementation of campaign strategy and plans, to contribute to volunteer and client recruitment, charity and service awareness and funding.
Specifically, you will manage:
Brand development and awareness
Cotswold Friends website content
Regular newsletter production
Social media campaigns and channels
Development and distribution of press releases to key target press
Design and production of print materials (leaflets and posters) for both volunteer recruitment and service promotion
Charity mailings
Print distribution to ensure effective area coverage
Production of marketing and communication materials for events
Production of film and photography
Events management
Delegation of Marketing support work to a team of Marketing volunteers
Stakeholder communications
Ongoing development of in-house materials to support volunteers and clients
The successful candidate will:
Hold a Marketing qualification and have at least 2 years of management experience in a Marketing role
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Have good knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher and Outlook
Have previous experience designing and implementing surveys through tools such as Survey Monkey
Have previous experience with design packages such as Canva
Have previous experience managing databases and email campaigns using tools such as Mailchimp
Be familiar with website Content Management Systems
Be proficient in the development and management of social media campaigns
Be able to provide evidence of involvement in Marketing plans and campaigns that demonstrate Marketing skills and knowledge
