THE MARKETING DEPARTMENT

Our newly appointed Director of Marketing and Admissions will spearhead the development and implementation of innovative marketing and admissions strategies. With a proven track record in brand building, segmented marketing, and exceptional customer service for parents, she is set to make a significant impact.


We are looking to build a high-performing team to collaborate with our ambitious new Head and bring to life our compelling vision for educating girls.


The Marketing Manager will be central to this effort, highly visible, proactive, and reactive. This role is not confined to an office but is roving and wide-reaching, perfect for confident, outgoing individuals eager to engage with the community.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES



The postholder will play a central role in showcasing the full breadth of school life, from Nursery through to Sixth Form, using a range of marketing platforms. They will be proactive in identifying and responding to content opportunities, creating engaging stories for use across social media, the school website, newsletters, and other communications channels.

A collaborative approach is essential, particularly in supporting Admissions through the development of recruitment campaigns, events, and related materials. The role also involves working closely with the in-house Designer and wider team to ensure brand consistency, high-quality visual presentation, and cohesive messaging across all platforms.


The successful candidate will help shape and maintain the school's unique voice and tone, while coordinating with internal staff to support key events and initiatives. An awareness of the competitive educational landscape is crucial, as is the ability to apply a commercial mindset to all marketing efforts.


They will contribute to raising the school's profile both locally and more broadly and will actively promote the Marketing team's visibility and involvement within school life. Strategic collaboration with the Director of Marketing & Admissions in relation to brand development, marketing objectives, and the implementation of style guidelines. The role will also involve supporting senior stakeholders, including the Board and Senior Leadership Team, with high-quality communications and presentation materials.


THE PERSON




The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience as a Marketing Manager within an independent school or a similarly fast-paced commercial environment. They will possess excellent copywriting skills, with the ability to produce engaging and accurate content across a variety of formats and platforms.


Experience in event planning and delivery is essential, including the ability to represent the school professionally at internal and external functions. A proactive networker, the candidate will be comfortable building relationships at all levels, both within the school community and externally.


A strong understanding of the independent school sector is highly desirable. The role requires an appreciation for high-quality design, as well as the editorial judgement to identify compelling stories and content opportunities.


Exceptional attention to detail is a must, particularly in editing publications, reviewing visual assets, and ensuring consistency across social media and the school's website. Familiarity with local suppliers and contractors is advantageous, as is a working knowledge of relevant software tools, with a willingness to learn and grow technical skills as needed.


An interest in photography and basic design will be beneficial. The ideal candidate will also bring flexibility, a positive and collaborative attitude, and a solutions-focused approach to all aspects of their work.


Experience managing budgets and overseeing external suppliers is also required to support the efficient delivery of marketing initiatives.

PROCESS




Shortlisted candidates will be invited to the school where they will be interviewed by the Director of Marketing and Admissions and members of the Senior Leadership team and have a tour of the school.
