General approach
You will have a naturally approachable and friendly demeanour, enabling you to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients alike.
Your role is a key role within a small team and there will be some organic creep on the edges as your role matures to suit you and the business. It is important you are a team player willing to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in with whatever challenge might present itself whether it is in your job description or otherwise.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be juggling the thrilling world of CRM data entry (yes, some of it's a bit dull--we won't lie!) while charming a potential client with a cuppa and a warm welcome when they pop by. Multitasking skills and a good sense of humour are essential!
All team members need to be supportive, flexible and respectful for the business to fly. The stronger the team the better everything we do will become.
You will be expected to use your own initiative, share ideas when needed but essentially, manage your own time and achieve short, medium and long term goals every day!
You'll be part of a team and will need to learn the ropes of our general in-house admin and diary management systems, working closely with our office manager to keep everything running smoothly and ensure the office is always well-covered.
As a small team your voice will be heard and the directors encourage an open ideas policy- every voice and opinion counts. All ideas start somewhere.* We all make mistakes. Honesty around mistakes is critical. We never hide them or lie. It is not a mistake, only a problem to solve and if we all know then we can work together to resolve it.
We value honesty, dependability, hard work, and integrity in all our team members.
Experience & Qualifications
The perfect candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a marketing or sales/ marketing role, ideally with a blend of strategic planning and hands-on execution. We will consider a less experienced candidate if a wider understanding, transferable skill set, core personality and passion are present. Starting pay will reflect the level of experience. The role can flex to allow the right person to thrive.
While we're here to support and nurture your growth--especially if this is your step up into a leadership role--your experience should give you the confidence to take initiative and lead key projects with minimal hand-holding.
Demonstrate experience working within an office environment, collaborating with teams and managing multiple priorities in a professional setting.
Solid project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and deliver marketing initiatives on time and within budget.
A good working knowledge of the technical tools and platforms mentioned above (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, Canva, WordPress, CRM tools, Google Analytics).
An unpaid Skills Day will be arranged as part of the onboarding process to assess and align competencies with the role.
