Job Description

About Bourne Health

Bourne Health is the largest primary care provider in South West London, serving diverse communities across multiple GP surgeries. We are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, underpinned by innovation, community engagement, and operational excellence.

We are now seeking a Marketing Manager to play a pivotal role in expanding our registered patient lists, strengthening our brand, and positioning Bourne Health as a thought leader in primary care and health innovation.

Role Purpose

The Marketing Manager will design, execute, and optimise marketing strategies that enhance Bourne Health's visibility, reputation, and impact. You will drive both patient acquisition and community engagement, create and distribute compelling content, and manage our digital presence with measurable results. This is a hands-on and strategic role, blending marketing expertise with a deep understanding of healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities1. Digital Marketing & Campaign Management

Paid campaigns: Proactively manage, iterate, enhance, and report on Google Ads campaigns, focused on patient list growth & optimising cost per acquisition (CPA).

Organic campaigns: Lead and optimise SEO and content strategies with ongoing analytics, insights, and performance reporting.

Drive uptake of Bourne Health online consultation services and platform through omnichannel marketing efforts. Ensure a seamless experience for patients when interacting between the website, our online platform and other third party applications e.g. NHS app.

Drive patient engagement, service uptake, and brand awareness.

2. Digital Estate Management

Manage and continuously enhance our corporate and surgery websites, landing pages, Google Business Profiles & Reviews, NHS.uk profiles, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.

Actively manage reviews, ensuring timely and high-quality responses, challenging inappropriate content, and implementing strategies to increase positive feedback through in-practice and digital prompts - providing feedback/guidance to practice teams based on reviews (e.g. to intervene practically due to a negative review)

Ensure all profiles (in particular Google Business) are optimised with up-to-date information, imagery and video, and enhanced features to maximise patient engagement.

3. Content Strategy & Thought Leadership

Regularly develop, publish, and distribute relevant and engaging content for all platforms, ensuring speed of publication while maintaining quality and governance oversight through a defined approvals process.

Identify, research, and publish case studies & success stories from across Bourne Health that demonstrate our impact with clear data, outcomes, and patient benefit.

Lead the creation of video content for both patient education and professional training, building a rich multimedia library that supports our brand. This may occasionally require you to work on-site to capture marketing content.

Develop and publish internal Newsletters for staff in support of the Execs.

4. Patient Engagement & Empowerment

Launch and manage a Directory of Services (DoS) to improve self-referral, self-help, and patient empowerment, ensuring all staff are trained to navigate patients effectively e.g. linking with AccuRx SMS templates.

Review and manage telephony scripts to enhance patient experience, drive uptake of our online services, and deliver clear, compassionate messages.

Support the running and enhancement of Patient Participation Groups across all sites, ensuring practices gain valuable insights and build community advocacy.

5. Campaigns, Events & Outreach

Plan, manage, and execute an annual calendar of health campaigns (e.g. Cancer Awareness Week), linking them to Bourne Health's own initiatives and measurable patient outcomes.

Review, monitor and help to increase NHS app downloads and usage figures.

End-to-end management and execution of campaign focused open days, and health & wellbeing events bringing together VCSFEs and other stakeholders to benefit our patients and local residents, and targeted community outreach

Design, implement & track regular targeted leaflet drop campaigns to grow patient list.

Manage and deliver all aspects of promotional events such as exhibitions.

6. Marketing Support for Business Development

Develop marketing assets (brochures, presentations, branded collateral) for business development activities, including private healthcare services in future.

Support practice teams with email marketing campaigns, including seasonal vaccination recalls and service promotions.

Provide branding & messaging support for new services and strategic growth initiatives.

Work closely with the Executive Team, leaders, and managers to ensure consistent brand application across all digital touchpoints, including LinkedIn and other professional profiles, reinforcing Bourne Health's reputation as a professional and credible organisation.

7. Data-Driven Insights & Reporting

Set clear KPIs and track performance across all marketing channels, producing regular reports for the executive team.

Use data to make evidence-based recommendations for continuous improvement in campaign effectiveness.
